Easy and Accessible Sustainability

Ray's Reusables was founded with a simple idea in mind: make eco-friendly shopping easier for the 70% of Philadelphians who rely on public transportation.

Thats why I chose to create a sustainable shop that can go to any neighborhood in Philadelphia. I want to make supporting local makers, making eco-friendly choices, and sending less waste to landfill as easy as stepping out your front door.

Why should I work on reducing plastic?

Plastic production has increased dramatically since it came on the scene. Between 1950 and 2019 approximately 8.3 billion pounds of plastic was create, and only 9% of that total has been recycled. 79% has found its way into landfills and, worse yet, oceans and other ecosystems.

I believe that as consumers we have the power to effect change. By investing in quality reusable and refillable solutions we also invest in the health of the environment.

REUSE

Finding reusable solutions to single-use products keeps unnecessary waste out of landfills. By reusing something over and over, you'll be saving on resources and, in the long run, you'll often save on money too.

Plastic has gotten into so many areas of our lives. As your household plastics come to the end of theirs, check out my selection of biodegradable and recyclable alternatives.

Shop replacements

I’m so grateful to have found this business! Ray was super helpful and nice to talk to! She’s also the only person nearby that I could find who provides refills for shampoo (and it works well, smells great, and is a better deal than online alternatives). I totally recommend coming here for all your basic house needs. Reduce waste and support your local business!
